Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed — we never store it in plain text).

When you add properties, we store the property addresses, unit details, and the renter information you enter (names, contact details, lease terms).

We do not collect or store payment card numbers. Card payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We receive a Stripe customer ID and basic transaction confirmation — nothing more.

We collect standard web analytics data (pages visited, session duration, browser type) to improve the product. We do not use advertising trackers.

To provide the service — rent reminders, maintenance tracking, document storage, and reporting all depend on the data you enter.

To send transactional emails — account confirmations, payment receipts, rent reminders (sent on your behalf to tenants), and support replies.

To improve the product — aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us understand which features work and which don't.

To communicate with you — product updates and important account notices. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your tenant data with third parties for marketing. Full stop.

We share data with service providers solely to operate the product: Stripe (payment processing and subscription management), Resend (transactional email delivery), and our cloud hosting providers (secure data storage and application infrastructure).

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain your data for 90 days in case you want to reactivate. After 90 days, your account and associated data are permanently deleted.

You can request immediate deletion of your data by emailing privacy@smallporthub.com. We'll confirm deletion within 5 business days.

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. You can also email us directly at privacy@smallporthub.com and we'll respond within 5 business days.

If you're in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. We honor data access, portability, and erasure requests from all users regardless of location.

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and functional cookies to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will log you out of your account.
